That being said, in order to create our list today, we had to make sure we were only dealing with apps, and not webpages since those wouldn’t work without an Internet connection. Then, we wanted these apps to have at least 3 stars or more so we know they are loved by users. We took into consideration the number of stars they received, as well as the number of reviews they got, and the number of downloads, as well as just what percentage of people who downloaded the app bothered to leave a review. In the end, we tallied up the points and came up with the final results. Hopefully, you’ll be able to find one game to enjoy on our list today.

Without further ado, here are the 13 best offline games for Chromebook.

13. Desert Swarm

Score: 8

With 4.14 stars, Desert Swarm takes over the last spot on the list of best offline games for Chromebook. This is a rather new game, with just a few thousand players, but they all seem to enjoy the game. This is a game with a minimalistic aproach in design.

You play as a lone tank commander who has to protect the world from an alien invasion. It’s a modern arcade game that claims to be inspired by classics such as Pacman and Space Invaders. Looking at the design, that’s not hard to figure out.

12. Marbelous

Score: 10

11. Contranoid

Score: 10

If you’d like to try out chaotic game that’s a mix-up between Pong, Tetris and Arkanoid, then Contranoid is the game for you. You can choose to play it alone, or with another friend on the same device. That you need to do is control a slider and bounce around a ball, trying to win over as much space as possible in order to beat your opponent.

It’s a black and white game that brings up some cool background music and low FPS to mimic the old days of gaming. It barely takes up any harddrive space and it hasn’t been updated in a couple of years. Not like it’s ne cessary, of course, given the simplicity of the game.

A warning, though: if you have a quick temper, this may not be the best game for you as it can become frustrating quite fast.
