In 2022, the United States exported $15.1 million worth of hydrogen. The primary destinations for these exports were Canada ($7.21 million), Mexico ($4.54 million), and Malaysia ($1.21 million).

Recently the country has set up multiple hydrogen projects. Of the ten big projects, four are expecting to derive their demands solely from the export markets that have been growing substantially.
