12 Countries Millionaires Are Moving To

In this article, we will look at the 12 countries millionaires are moving to. If you want to skip our detailed analysis, go directly to the 5 Countries Millionaires Are Moving To.

The global millionaires accounted for almost 1.5% of the adult population in 2023. A lot of millionaires are moving to tax-free countries in the world. The United States has the highest millionaire population, at around 22 million, representing 38% of the total millionaires in the world. This makes the United States the country with the highest percentage of millionaires in the world. In 2023, China had the second-highest number of millionaires, with just over 6 million. However, China is expected to experience the highest millionaire outflow in 2024, with over 15,000 leaving the country. The United Kingdom, which takes the third spot with the most millionaires is projected to have the second-highest millionaire outflow in 2024.

According to Credit Suisse’s Global Wealth Report 2024, the number of millionaires is expected to be grow in 52 countries out of 56 countries worldwide. By 2028, Taiwan is anticipated to experience the highest increase by over 50%. Next on the list are Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea which are expected to have millionaire growth of 43%, 37%, 32%, 28%, and  27%, respectively. The global wealth share for emerging economies is expected to cross 30% in 2024 and reach nearly 32% by 2028.

Millionaire Migration and Its Impact

Millionaires migrate due to several reasons such as business opportunities, safety, financial concerns, lifestyle factors, education opportunities for children, better healthcare system, standard of living, and taxes and retirement. According to a report by New World Wealth, nearly 128,000 millionaires around the world are expected to move to a new country in 2024, with the United Arab Emirates leading the list with a 3-year average of 5,067 millionaires moving to the country. Whereas, Taiwan, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea are expected to have the highest millionaire population growth by 2028.

Scott Galloway, a public speaker, entrepreneur, and host of The Prof G Show on YouTube, highlighted that the influx of millionaires in the Middle East, especially Dubai and Saudi Arabia is due to increasing economic opportunity and low taxes. The Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates are some of the most popular tax havens for the wealthy. Portugal is another major destination for millionaires offering Golden visa opportunities for wealthy people, said Galloway. According to La Vida’s recent investment migration survey, almost 31% of respondents indicated that they are considering a Golden Visa programme to have security against political uncertainties. Whereas, over 23% opted for relocation as their primary reason.

The millionaires’ migration is a huge bonus for countries millionaires are moving to. The migration of wealth and talent to these countries adds exclusive benefits to the economy. For instance, millionaires are a major source of forex revenue as they tend to move their capital with them. An entrepreneur who brings $10 million with them is equivalent to a country generating $10 million in export revenue. Millionaires also invest in the local stock market to diversify their equity portfolio, which increases the country’s foreign portfolio investment (FPI).

Almost 20% of the high-net-worth individuals are company founders, who establish businesses in their new country which leads to the creation of local jobs. In addition, nearly 60% of centi-millionaires and billionaire entrepreneurs create local jobs through their businesses. Out of Fortune 500 companies in 2024, 230 companies were founded by ‘New Americans,’ who are immigrants or the children of immigrants. These immigrant-founded companies made a staggering $8.6 trillion in revenue in 2023, higher than some of the largest economies in the world such as Japan, Germany, Russia, and Indonesia. These 230 companies employed more than 15.5 million people worldwide, reflecting their significance for creating jobs and economic growth.

Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is one of the leading tech companies that was co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Sergery Brin who co-founded Google with Larry Page immigrated to the United States from the Soviet Union at the age of six in 1979. Along with Page, Brin took the browsing network to the next level with the Google browser. Today, Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is one of the largest companies in the world with a market capitalization of $1.94 trillion, as of September 13.

Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is a leading tech giant that primarily earns revenue through its search engine, Google Search. Alphabet Inc. also operates in lucrative industries such as video streaming and cloud computing. However, the company’s premier business is dependent on Search. During the second quarter of 2024, Alphabet Inc. reported a total revenue of $84.74 billion, beating estimates by $445.49 million and up by almost 14% year-over-year. Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s revenue from Search was almost $48.50 billion, while the other Google services added around $25.42 billion to the revenue. Google Cloud business is the second largest source of revenue for Alphabet Inc., adding around $10.34 billion to the total revenue in Q2 2024. The company surpassed its earnings estimate as well, reporting an EPS of $1.89 compared to a consensus of $1.84 per share. Patient Capital Management mentioned Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) in its Q2 2024 investor letter. Here is what the fund said:

“Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) was a top contributor in the second quarter, finally catching up to its peers in the Magnificent 7. The company gained 20.8% in the period following strong first-quarter earnings, a new $70B repurchase program (3% of shares outstanding), and the initiation of a cash dividend ($0.20 per share; 0.42% yield). We continue to believe the market underappreciates Google’s exposure to AI with its Gemini model being integrated into search results, YouTube advertising, and its cloud offering. We continue to think that the cloud players will be the AI winners in the long term, with Google being well-positioned to take advantage. While the company trades at 24x 2024 earnings, if you remove the money-losing and under-earning businesses, you realize that you are paying below a market multiple for the core Google business. We do not believe there are many other AI winners trading at such an attractive multiple.”

The company’s sizable business in the ‘Search’ allows it to control over 50% of the search advertising market. This allows Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) significant leverage with publishers and advertising firms to divert their transactions through its platform. Moreover, Google’s AI model ‘Gemini’ places Alphabet Inc. at the forefront of AI developments.

While we acknowledge the potential of GOOGL as an investment, our conviction lies in the belief that some AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns and doing so within a shorter time frame. If you are looking for an AI stock that is more promising than NVDA but that trades at less than 5 times its earnings, check out our report about the cheapest AI stock.

AI, Tariffs, Nuclear Power: One Undervalued Stock Connects ALL the Dots (Before It Explodes!)

Artificial intelligence is the greatest investment opportunity of our lifetime. The time to invest in groundbreaking AI is now, and this stock is a steal!

AI is eating the world—and the machines behind it are ravenous.

Each ChatGPT query, each model update, each robotic breakthrough consumes massive amounts of energy. In fact, AI is already pushing global power grids to the brink.

Wall Street is pouring hundreds of billions into artificial intelligence—training smarter chatbots, automating industries, and building the digital future. But there’s one urgent question few are asking:

Where will all of that energy come from?

AI is the most electricity-hungry technology ever invented. Each data center powering large language models like ChatGPT consumes as much energy as a small city. And it’s about to get worse.

Even Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI, issued a stark warning:

“The future of AI depends on an energy breakthrough.”

Elon Musk was even more blunt:

“AI will run out of electricity by next year.”

As the world chases faster, smarter machines, a hidden crisis is emerging behind the scenes. Power grids are strained. Electricity prices are rising. Utilities are scrambling to expand capacity.

And that’s where the real opportunity lies…

One little-known company—almost entirely overlooked by most AI investors—could be the ultimate backdoor play. It’s not a chipmaker. It’s not a cloud platform. But it might be the most important AI stock in the US owns critical energy infrastructure assets positioned to feed the coming AI energy spike.

As demand from AI data centers explodes, this company is gearing up to profit from the most valuable commodity in the digital age: electricity.

The “Toll Booth” Operator of the AI Energy Boom

  • It owns critical nuclear energy infrastructure assets, positioning it at the heart of America’s next-generation power strategy.
  • It’s one of the only global companies capable of executing large-scale, complex EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) projects across oil, gas, renewable fuels, and industrial infrastructure.
  • It plays a pivotal role in U.S. LNG exportation—a sector about to explode under President Trump’s renewed “America First” energy doctrine.

Trump has made it clear: Europe and U.S. allies must buy American LNG.

And our company sits in the toll booth—collecting fees on every drop exported.

But that’s not all…

As Trump’s proposed tariffs push American manufacturers to bring their operations back home, this company will be first in line to rebuild, retrofit, and reengineer those facilities.

AI. Energy. Tariffs. Onshoring. This One Company Ties It All Together.

While the world is distracted by flashy AI tickers, a few smart investors are quietly scooping up shares of the one company powering it all from behind the scenes.

AI needs energy. Energy needs infrastructure.

And infrastructure needs a builder with experience, scale, and execution.

This company has its finger in every pie—and Wall Street is just starting to notice.

Wall Street is noticing this company also because it is quietly riding all of these tailwinds—without the sky-high valuation.

While most energy and utility firms are buried under mountains of debt and coughing up hefty interest payments just to appease bondholders…

This company is completely debt-free.

In fact, it’s sitting on a war chest of cash—equal to nearly one-third of its entire market cap.

It also owns a huge equity stake in another red-hot AI play, giving investors indirect exposure to multiple AI growth engines without paying a premium.

And here’s what the smart money has started whispering…

The Hedge Fund Secret That’s Starting to Leak Out

This stock is so off-the-radar, so absurdly undervalued, that some of the most secretive hedge fund managers in the world have begun pitching it at closed-door investment summits.

They’re sharing it quietly, away from the cameras, to rooms full of ultra-wealthy clients.

Why? Because excluding cash and investments, this company is trading at less than 7 times earnings.

And that’s for a business tied to:

  • The AI infrastructure supercycle
  • The onshoring boom driven by Trump-era tariffs
  • A surge in U.S. LNG exports
  • And a unique footprint in nuclear energy—the future of clean, reliable power

You simply won’t find another AI and energy stock this cheap… with this much upside.

This isn’t a hype stock. It’s not riding on hope.

It’s delivering real cash flows, owns critical infrastructure, and holds stakes in other major growth stories.
