The fifth biggest civil engineering company in Europe is French Eiffage that ranks 5th on our list of biggest civil engineering companies in Europe. It was founded in 1992 by merging several companies. Besides construction, it deals with real estate development, energy and concessions. Major projects of Eiffage were Copenhagen Metro, Channel Tunnel and Millau Viaduct. From 2016, its chief executive is Benoît de Ruffray. The company has around 70, 000 employees.
