5. Zombie – The Cranberries
Zombie was released in 1994 as a lead single on the second album of the Cranberries entitled No Need to Argue. It is a protest song written by their lead singer Dolores O’Riordan. The song was proclaimed the Best Song at the 1995 MTV Europe Music Awards. It also reached number one spot in various countries including Denmark, Germany, and France.
