Perhaps it’s the slightly lower temperatures over in Slovakia, but the fellows here sure love their spirits. In fact, 46.2% would pick those over other types of drinks. Next up is beer, with 30.1% and wine with 18.3% of people choosing this type of libation.

Slovakia’s numbers when it comes to deaths caused by alcohol aren’t all that great, the country ranking 42^nd in the world with 2.73 deaths for every 100,000, which is a sad number. Hopefully, in the years to come, things will be a bit better, and the numbers will drop both in alcohol consumption and in the number of fatalities.
