According to the World Bank’s report of 2013, the country has a population of 8.2 million and is currently under the government of Kokhir Rasulzoda. The country is finding it difficult to move ahead with the development process and facing issues such as water shortages and excess pollution. With Per Capita GDP of $2,000, the country is ranked number 6.
