Similar to Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones follows the life of the comic book character, played by Jessica Ritter, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it deals with her new situation as a private investigator in a post-superhero life and touches on dark subjects like assault, rape, and her post-traumatic stress disorder. David Tennant and Jessica Ritter have received both awards and praises for their excellent performances, and the show too has been applauded – IGN even named it the best Netflix series ever released in late 2015.
