Back in the 1960s, the demographic picture of New Zealand was looked very different from what it is today, with some 92% of the population being of European origin. In 2013, that percent fell down to 74. At the same time Maori population more than doubled, from 7% in 1961 to 14.9% in 2013. Asians and Pacific people constitute other large demographic groups.
