To determine these brands, we took an average price of 10 pairs of the most expensive shoes from various luxury fashion lines, and used Finance Online’s Top 10 Most Expensive Shoe Brands of 2016 as well as researched other high-end brands, much like in the 11 Most Expensive Shoe Stores in the World.
The brands we mention sell shoes of all types, from pumps to boots to bridal. They also range throughout the world, from Italy to France to the US.
Though when reading our list, you should remember that the averages we estimated are based on shoe prices found online only. In other words, brands may sell more expensive shoes, or have higher averages of shoe prices, which are not listed online. We also excluded prices for custom-made shoes, which can sometimes cost millions.

11. Yves Saint Laurent

Also known as YSL, this company is headquartered at one of the most iconic fashion houses in Paris.

Average of most expensive shoes: $1,308
Born in Geneva, this designer opened his first boutique in Paris in 1974. The brand is now sold all over the world at stores such as Barney’s, Cloud Nine and Victoria.
9. Prada
Average of most expensive shoes: $1,314
Prada has established itself as a well-known luxury fashion brand with Italian origins. It’s sister brand, Mui Mui is mentioned later on in the 11 most expensive shoe brands in the world.
8. Versace

Celebrities have donned dresses and shoes from this brand, also Italian, for decades, demonstrating its timelessness and luxurious appeal.
7. Stuart Weitzman
Average of most expensive shoes: $1,346
Stuart Weitzman shoes, known for their unique materials such as cork, vinyl, and wallpaper, are sold in nearly 70 countries. Weitzman first got his start working at his father’s Massachusetts shoe factory in the 1950’s.
6. Christian Louboutin
Average of most expensive shoes: $1,625
Known for its signature red-soled shoes, this brand created by a French fashion designer, features stiletto heights of nearly five inches and higher. If customers enjoy paying thousands for sprained ankles, they can have at it.

MiuMiu was named after the Prada designer’s nickname. She created this branch off of her main Prada company in 1993.

Everyone knows about Jimmy Choo. Supposedly, on this Malaysian designer’s birth certificate, his real name, Chow, was misspelled as Choo. If his name would have been Jimmy Chow, he could’ve started a world renowned dog food business instead.
