As said above, this doesn’t have to be expensive, but if you join country clubs (up to $100,000 total, calculating initiation fees, monthly fees, and food and drink), buy expensive equipment (anywhere from $150 to $1000), and participate in competitions and tours ($750-$1,000), it’s almost as bad as gambling your life away.
