Although Rajasthan is the largest state in India, 85% of it is a desert. A very large percentage of the great That Desert is located in Rajasthan and hence, the state is generally economically backward. It is mostly driven by agricultural activities, as opposed to the industrialization that is taking over the rest of the country.
