It is an island country, and it is a major destination for many tourists, mostly because of its history, tradition, and culture. With a population of 1,189,085, it is one of the most populated islands in the world. Most of its population is Greek, but there are other ethnic groups as well like Maronite, Armenian, Turkish-Cypriot.
