Considered to be part of Azerbaijan by the United Nations, Nagorno-Karabakh identifies itself as an independent republic. Despite the fact that Nagorno-Karabakh has a mainly Christian population, it legally allows abortion as well, resulting in a surprisingly high number of abortions.
