To find our best selling handmade items in 2017, we scoured Etsy for its best trending shops. We went to the Etsy home page to find them. Then we selected shops that had a full 5-star review ranking. Of course, we picked only those shops that have been “on Etsy since 2017.” Etsy has both of these factors listed on each shop home page, along with its description, location, number of reviews and number of sales. Only the shops that have over 700 reviews are taken into consideration, and you know they’ve got to be good if they’ve racked up that many reviews in less than a year.
We also took into account the number of sales each shop has made, since this is the list of best selling items on Etsy in 2017, after all. Then we averaged the two numbers (number of reviews and number of sales) and ranked each shop from those averages. These are truly the top sellers of handmade items on Etsy within this year.
