Median Pay – $80,090

This is not an easy job, both when it comes to the actual job you have to do and the emotional impact it may have on a person, mostly due to the fact that you have to work with cancer patients, which is never an easy thing to do. Radiation therapists help treat cancer, as well as other diseases, by administering radiation treatments. The work is done in hospitals, but also physicians’ offices, and various other treatment centers.

Workers need to have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy and need to get a license to be allowed to practice. In 2014 there were over 16,000 jobs in the field and the job outlook was projected to grow 14 percent from 2014 to 2024, which is quite a fast pace compared to other jobs.
