There are going to be NYU students everywhere, the majority of their dorms are in this area. So if you are just recently post-college or into grad students, this works for you! Pretty much everything is accessible by subway and the convenience is major if that appeals to you. There is also Union Square with plenty of poets, chess players, farmers markets and more. If you want to have an adorable meet-cute in Union Square then all you have to do is head over there and strike up a conversation with the hottie holding the turnip.
