As you can figure from the title, this 4 part documentary made by PBS talks about the House of Medici, Italian family that rose to prominence in the 15th century. Medici became influential not only in Italy but in the whole of Europe and played a great part in starting off the Renaissance. The family also gave three Popes. The documentary follows the family’s rise from the humble beginnings to becoming one of Italy’s most powerful political forces.
