Spain has experienced a spectacular growth in robot investment with the current density of 131 robots per 10.000 employees in the manufacturing industry. This puts Spain ahead of many well-developed countries and is considered a spectacular increase considering the facts that there were only 8 robots per 10,000 employees in 1990. Besides density, there is a significant improvement in the performance of the robots which makes them more reliable, accurate and versatile. The biggest robot user is motor vehicle industry which is accounting for as much as 69% of the total operational stock.
