6. Pelham Parkway

Pelham Parkway is located in the northeast part of The Bronx. It got its name because of the major parkway, while it was originally called The Bronx and Pelham Parkway. Even though from 1993 until 2010 there were significant decreases in property crimes, car theft and grand larceny, from 2001 to 2010, murders have doubled while rapes and felonies increased as well. Among all of that, the highest increase was in shooting incidents with the rise of 238%, from 2001 to 2010.
