With student enrollment per capita of 28.5 which is below the state median of 30.3 and low number of people in accreditation programs of 19.8 per capita, combined with obesity rate of 33.9 percent, hypertension rate of 36.2 percent, diabetes rate of 11.7%, and the third worst physical inactivity rate of 33.2% things are worrisome. Oklahoma ranks 6th in our list of states with the lowest number of physicians per capita, and it is the fifth worst state when it comes to the percent of the population without health insurance – 15.4 percent. Life expectancy at birth in Oklahoma is 75.9 years.
