6. Dr. Pepper
Dr. Pepper beats Sprite by about 0.7 % in carbonated soft drinks sales percentage, and takes the number 6 spot on our list. Dr. Pepper was introduced way back in 1885 and has been available all over the United States from 1904. Back in the day, Dr. Pepper was marketed as an energy drink as were other soft drinks at the time. The interesting thing is that Dr. Pepper is extremely popular in the United States, but the brand is not doing so well elsewhere.
