It was released in 1983 and written by Dennis Matkosky and Michael Sembello. Phil Ramone was the producer of this hit, which was a part of Michael’s “Bossa Nova Hotel” album.
8. I Wanna Dance With Somebody – Whitney Houston

The original performers of this epic song have a similar band name to the one listed above. The Pointer Sisters made their name well known with the “I’m So Excited” dance-pop masterpiece, which holds the 4th spot. Released in 1982, written by Trevor Lawrence, and the Pointer Sisters, produced by Richard Perry, it is considered to be the group’s signature song.

Now, this is something you must have heard of. Ranked in 3rd place is one of the all-time greatest songs in the world, according to the Rolling Stone Magazine. We totally agree with them. “Dancing Queen” a song by the famous Swedish pop group ABBA, was released in 1976, and hit tremendous success right from the off.
