5. Decapitation
Simply translated as cutting off the head, this method that ranked 5th on our list of most painful worst ways to die was used in Middle Age. In the modern age, there are proves that it was used in prisons, concentration camps, and wars. To successfully perform it the executor has to be very precise and well trained and has a very sharp knife or sword. It was also a common cause of death in battles, where obviously were many swords in hands of the angry swordsmen. If that are not enough, there are many cases where persons have been decapitated by accident, in traffic accidents, or even at home in some weird set of circumstances. What is painful here, you may ask. Well, there is medical researching which say that person is alive for a couple of seconds after the cutting and perfectly aware of the situation.
