Well, she reinvented herself and the pop music with this album, that’s why. “Ray of Light” was something of an experiment for Madonna, which eventually proved to be one of the best albums in her career. She was the first artist to combine the mainstream pop music with elements of electronic music. It was so successful that everyone started doing it after that.
