By adding extra points for high real estate and property prices to the initial Numbeo list we reached upon the rankings for our comprehensive list which looks at all components of costs in a particular city.

6. Toulouse
The center for European aerospace industry, the city houses the largest space center in Europe. That does have a bearing on the rent costs in the city which are on the higher side and start from 522.22 €. Real estate prices are yet to rise but are expected to escalate soon.

Hailed as “Nice la belle” or “Nice the beautiful”, the city is full of beautiful sights and natural allure. The city is a favorite haunt for tourists. And, in case you are here, you should keep a hefty amount aside for eating out, as the restaurant prices are a bomb.
4. Bordeaux
One might find the rent rates in the city easier than quite some other cities on this list, but Bordeaux has a reputation of being very pricey. The wine capital of the world has high real estate prices.
3. Grenoble
The city in southwestern France is notably developed in industries and has had a buoyant economic growth. Along with high consumer prices and rents, groceries also tend to be costlier in the city.
2. Lyon
