9. Mansfield, Ohio UFO Sighting – 1973

This was not only a sighting, but also a near collision with an unidentified flying object. A four-man helicopter crew narrowly missed crashing into this lighted object midair, but that’s not all. They then lost control of their aircraft and climbed from 1,700 to 3,500 feet in a matter of seconds. Eventually, they gained control and brought the helicopter back down and away from the supposed UFO, no doubt as fast as it would take them.
