The trend of corruption in Mali, one of the least corrupt countries in Africa, is in conformity with the other countries in Africa, with the judiciary and public procurement being the most susceptible to unethical and immoral activities. This will continue for the near future though it is also important to acknowledge that the country has started to combat corruption by initiation reforms as well as carrying out studies and surveys in this regard. To properly combat corruption, the Office of the Auditor General was established in 2003 which has been the main reason behind the drop in corruption in the country.
