It used to have the largest seating capacity in the NFL until 2010, when the seating capacity of the stadium was 91,000 which has now reduced to 82,000. It is located in Maryland, and is home to the Washington Football Team. The stadium was opened back in 1997 and its construction cost around $250 million, which is $400 million in today’s dollars. Apart from the NFL, it has been used to host some soccer matches. The stadium has come under a lot of criticism in recent years, and was ranked as one of the worst stadiums in the NFL according to fan experience. Even the location of the stadium has been criticized as it is not very easily accessible. The naming rights are held by FedEx (NYSE:FDX).
