The French Americans, while a large part of the population of the United States, do not have a significantly unique identity, mainly due to the fact that they have assimilated easily. The French are one of the oldest nationalities to reside in the United States, where many arrived even before the founding of the country. With a high birth rate, coupled with the French zest for romance, the population jumped at a high rate.
