You have probably heard that many young people decide to move to China, Japan or Southeast Asia and work as kindergarten or elementary school English teachers. Most of these expats don’t have a university degree in English language or literature. Still, for private kindergartens and elementary schools in these countries, employing Westerners is seen as a good PR, which improves their school’s reputation among parents. Some English teachers, use this work to finance their trips around the Far East, while others tend to build a promising career in education and child care. Although most schools don’t look for experience when searching for their staff, previous teaching or childcare jobs can provide you a greater pay.
