Coming from a poor background herself, Oprah Winfrey, one of the biggest philanthropists who give to individuals, decided that she would give a significant amount of her fortune to those in need of financial support. Among other things, Oprah Winfrey Scholarship for African Women which grants scholarships to African women helping them to become educated and to prepare for public services in their own countries.
