Yes, you read that right. There are people out there who believe that their favorite celebrities have died at the hands of the Illuminati, a secret group whose existence hasn’t even been proven past the late 1700s.
Either way, whether there was someone famous for their political views, or for their performing talents, if they died under less than clean circumstances, there’s a chance there’s going to be a conspiracy theory about it.

Let’s discuss about the Illuminati first. The name has been given to several groups, both real and made up. Historically, it all goes back to the 1776, when a secret society called the Bavarian Illuminati was created. Their goals were to oppose religious influence in the public life, abuses of state power, superstition and the likes. The Illuminati were outlawed not much later, along with the Freemasons, and the organization went dark after that.
While the Freemasons are quite open about their existence, the Illuminati have kept silence and there’s doubt they even exist anymore. That hasn’t kept people from coming up with stories after stories about them, their existence, their doings and their plans to take over the world. Somehow, among their actions directed at creating the New World Order, they also allegedly killed some famous people. We took a look at a handful of sites discussing this matter and came up with a list of those who are mentioned most often. Here are 10 famous people rumored to have been killed by the Illuminati.
10. Tupac Shakur
The famous rapper was born in 1971 in New York. His life was not easy and he’s had a lot of running ins with the law over the years, especially since most of his family was part of the Black Panthers gang. Shakur himself didn’t believe in organized religion, rejected the thought of an afterlife, but did believe in Karma.
His issues with the law, including spending time in jail for sexual assault, brought him in contact with Suge Knight from the Death Row Records, who paid his bail in exchange for a few records. This, however, put him in the middle of a gang war between the East Coast and the West Coast.
One night in 1996, Tupac was leaving the MGM Grand when his car was shot at at a red light. After 6 days in the hospital he passed away due to internal bleeding. Tupac’s murderers were never found and the case is still open, which has sparked quite a few theories about it all.
One of them says that Shakur sold his soul to become famous and that his murder was a sacrifice for the Illuminati, but also a way to silence him before he said too much. On the other hand, there are also people who believe the entire thing was a set-up and Tupac is actually still alive on an island somewhere.

9. Jim Morrison
He was a singer, songwriter and poet and he led the famous group The Doors. Jim Morrison was born in 1943 in Florida, coming from an ancestry of Scottish, Irish and English folks.
It is said that he was quite taken with the arts of the occult, which, of course, made people believe he was actually a reptilian member of the Illuminati. When he died in 1971, the entire situation was quite questionable. He was found in the bathtub of his Paris apartment, and while no autopsy was ever performed, the death certificate read “heart failure” for the cause of death. This brought on quite a few questions about the entire situation and many thought that he had probably died of an accidental drug or alcohol overdose.
Others believe that his death was put together by the Illuminati for some reason or another, while another group believe that, much like Tupac, Morrison is still alive somewhere around the world.
8. Malcolm X
Born in 1925, Malcolm X was an American Muslim minister who fought for human rights. He was a strong advocate for the rights of people of color, making sure to point the finger at the white people of America for their crimes against black citizens. He’s been named one of the most influential people in American history.
Throughout his life, he was often threatened with death, including by the Nation of Islam, who even ordered the bombing of his car. In 1965, Malcolm X was preparing to speak in front of the Organization of Afro-American Unity when he was shot in the chest, lefts, arms and shoulder 21 times. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
There are also those who believe his death is owed to the involvement of the Illuminati who wanted to silence him before he influenced even more people with his famous speeches and through his work.
7. Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born in 1929 and he was a Baptist minister, activist and he led the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He was one of the most prominent figures of his time, urging people to fight for their civil rights in a nonviolent way.
Many believe that King’s teachings were a threat to the Illuminati and, given how influential he was, they were afraid he’d become too powerful. The conspiracy theory says that his speaking against the Vietnam War was what eventually led to his death as the Illuminati came up with a plan to murder Dr. King.
In 1968, he was planning a national occupation of Washington, D.C. but he was assassinated on April 4. While some believe that this was the work of the secret state agencies in the United States, who had been monitoring his activity, others believe it was actually the Illuminati’s plan come to fruition.
6. Amy Winehouse
The young British singer was born in 1983 and she was known for her deep voice and quite a few great songs that made it to the top of multiple charts. While her career was flourishing, she felt the need to revert to using drugs and alcohol on multiple occasions, which was her way of dealing with all the problems in her life.
In 2011, she was found dead in her bed, with the coroner reaching a verdict of “misadventure.” Her blood alcohol levels were five times the legal driving limit at the time of her death, although it did not appear to be a suicide.
Conspiracy theory fans believe she died as a blood sacrifice to the Illuminati. This originates from one of her interviews where she complained that the music industry wasn’t allowing her to be herself, but rather trying to make her into the shape of a triangle. Since the triangle is a symbol often linked to the Illuminati, it wasn’t long before the tie was made.
5. Kurt Cobain
Born in 1967, Kurt Cobain was a musician that became famous along his rock band Nirvana. His success was brought on by songs such as “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” which continues to be one of the most famous tracks of the band.
At the age of 27, Cobain was found dead with a shotgun next to him by an electrician who was installing a security system. He had left behind a note addressed to “Boddah” his imaginary childhood friend, but none for his wife and daughter. Bloodwork showed Cobain had taken heroin as well as diazepam.
Conspiracy theories indicate that Cobain’s death was the result of the work of the Illuminati because the artist had refused to join the organization.

4. John F. Kennedy
The 35th President of the United States was born in 1917. His presidency is one that was full of events, including the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, as well as the creation of the Peace Corps, the Space Race and the Civil Rights Movement.
On November 22, 1963, Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas while traveling in a motorcade. He was shot in the throat and in the head and it was all caught on tape. To this day there are numerous controversies regarding the identity of the shooter (if it was only one!) and his reasons.
On the other hand, conspiracy theory fans believe that the President was actually working with the Illuminati — as is the assumption about most US Presidents — but he stopped listening to their indications. This, of course, led to plans to have him murdered.

Born in 1963, Whitney Houston made history with her music. Her incomparable voice brought her many fans, lots of fame and money. She is one of the best-selling artists of all time over her long career. She has been known to have drug issues over the years, mostly due to her connection to husband Bobby Brown.
In 2012 she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her hotel room. She had drowned after taking a combination of drugs, including cocaine. Conspiracy theories indicate that the Illuminati had been following her for years. 2. John Lennon
Born in 1940, John Lennon is one of the most famous British singers and songwriters. He was the co-founder of the Beatles, a group that is considered to be one of the best ever. In 1980, as Lennon was returning to his New York apartment alongside Yoko Ono, he was shot in the back four times by Mark David Chapman.
Conspiracy theory fans believe Chapman was actually being mind controlled by the Illuminati, pushing him to the terrible deed.

Michael Jackson was born in 1958 and he was one of the most famous musicians of all time. He was a singer, songwriter, producer, dancer and even actor. His personal life has been quite controversial over the years, including his marriages to Lisa Marie Presley and Debbie Rowe.
In 2009, the singer became unconscious in his own bed in the Los Angeles home he was renting. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and he was ultimately pronounced dead. The cause of death was cardiac arrest induced by intoxication with propofol and benzodiazepine and his doctor, Conrad Murray, was put on trial and later found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
