A sinus infection is often very similar to a common cold which is why you may not even be aware that you have it. It is also an easy illness to fake if you do everything right. A sinus infection occurs when cavities around the nasal passages become inflamed causing difficulties when breathing. Symptoms also include severe pain as if your face hurts and a runny nose.
