The red circle placed slightly to the left side of the flag with the green background is in the second place due to its simply designed pattern. The flag was adopted on January 17th, in 1972 after gaining independence from Pakistan.
The green symbolizes the greenery and youthfulness of the country while red represents the bloodshed and sacrifices made to achieve freedom.
