Disney movies always had a special charm, both animated and live action ones. I remember when I was a child, the Walt Disney Pictures logo was a measure of quality. When some movie would begin on the TV and had the logo, I knew it would be good. The studio has been producing top quality movies since the ’30s when Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was released until recent times when they acquired Lucasfilm and made new Star Wars movies. Since the songs always had a significant place in Disney’s movies, the part of me expected that they will find a way to pitch in a sing-along in the latest installment of Star Wars as well. It didn’t happen, but a man can hope.

When it comes to Disney’s songs, they are great to listen and many of them have had their life beyond the movies they appeared in. Disney songs are popular with both the audience and the critics; otherwise, they wouldn’t have won 16 Academy Awards. One of the reasons for their charm is the simplicity and catchiness. But, that doesn’t mean they are simple to play, at least for guitar beginners. This is mainly because many of the song feature fingerpicking technique that takes a while to master while there are also lots of different versions and arrangements of the same song. You’ll need to have a lot of patience and will if you want to play some of them. Now, before we begin with our list of easiest Disney songs to play on guitar, let’s reveal the methodology behind it. I had a hard time finding recommendations from other sources, so I’ve decided to use Hal Leonard Corp’s book Disney Songs for Easy Guitar as a starting point. Then I checked if there were any good guitar tutorials available for them on YouTube. Relying on my experience as a guitar player, I’ve chosen the tutorials that were explanatory, contained chords and/or tabs while featuring the easiest arrangements of the songs and featured them on the list. Although I usually give you some tips and provide chords on similar lists, there was no need for that now since the videos have it all covered.
