We used the price per square meter as our method of ranking. The countries where it’s the cheapest to buy a house are what we determined as the easiest because, as previously discussed, cost is one of the most challenging aspects of buying a house. Typically, it’s more expensive to buy a house inside a city rather than outside, so we averaged those two numbers to create our rankings.
