2. Puerto Rico

Central American nation Puerto Rico is the only place in the region to be on our list. The nation’s 0.08 metric tons of CO2 emissions per capita are the result of a lot of hard work. While it has never really polluted a lot, not like other countries in the Americas, Puerto Rico’s CO2 emission levels were 0.25 metric tons per capita back in 2000 and 2005. Since 2010, however, they’ve managed to keep the 0.08 metric tons of CO2 emissions currently reported.’
