Surprisingly, Singapore ranks pretty high among the countries with the highest STD rates in the developed world, perhaps because the government initially did not take the necessary steps to spread awareness regarding their effects and the most effective prevention methods. Or maybe the reason that Singapore ranks so highly is that it is mandatory to report results regarding tests for STDs, a law which is found in few other nations.
