2. Venezuela

The second highest rate of firearm-related deaths is found in Venezuela, where every year 52 people die from gun wounds for every 100,000 people. With over 31 million residents, that makes for a rather large number of people who die every year in this way.

What’s more important, is also the fact that out of all homicides committed in the country, over 90% happen because of guns. It is estimated that there are over 3.2 million guns in Venezuela, owned both legally and illegally, despite the rather strict laws in place.
