Shanghai is another Chinese city on the list of the cities with the most skyscrapers on the world. Shanghai, the largest industrial city of China, has a jawdropping population of 24,150,000 on a land area of 6,341 km (2,448 mi2). The Jin Jiang Hotel in 1988 was the first construction above 150 m, with its 153 m (502 ft) height, and 46 floors above ground. Traveling in this megalopolis you can see 163 completed buildings above 150 m, (21 ones are under constrction), and 5 completed skyscrapers above 300 m (5 ones are being beuilt). The tallest skyscraper is the Shanghai Tower that is 632 m (2,073 ft) tall. Generally these buildings are offices (66%), and the main material is concrete (49%).
