If you wondered when the United Kingdom will pop up on our list of biggest hop producing countries in the world, now you can see that they produced 49,668 tonnes of hop from 1994 to 2014. 20 years in a long period of time, and almost 50,000 tonnes of hop is not a small number. If we take a closer look, we can see that the United Kingdom produced 608 tonnes of hops in 2014 from which they harvested 449 tonnes. Today, there are just over 50 British farmers who are growing hops in the Great Britain where the hops first started growing there.
