The Chateau de St. Cosme wine brand is owned by the Barruol family, and the wine is cultivated in vineyards surrounding the castle. The estate is around 37 acres big, and the vines are very old, around 60 years on average. The wine produced is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. The first one dominates with 60%, while the other two around 20% each. The Gigondas 2010 blend is not an expensive bottle of wine. On average, a bottle of this wine will cost you around $33, which makes a great combination of fine taste and affordable price.
