Up next in our list of best snow blowers on the market for the 2016-2017 winter is the Snow Joe SJ618E which is a smaller machine than some of the other we’ve mentioned until now. It’s ideal for walkways and medium sized driveways. It doesn’t need any gas, or oil or any tune-ups, which means it’s extremely easy to use and to maintain.
The 13 amp motor can displace up to 550 lbs of snow per minute, making for an extremely powerful machine. The 2-blade plastic auger was created to cut 18 inches wide by 8 inches deep paths into the fallen snow.
While this snow blower won’t handle massive snowstorms, it will do what the manufacturer says it will – deal with 8 to 10 inches of snow in one pass. For anything above these numbers, you’ll have to take another turn. For the price it retails for, however, you shouldn’t be too upset about that.
