1. Xiaomi Redmi 1S
Code name: Armani. This beauty was released in May 2014, developed by the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi Inc. It is also the successor of the Redmi 1. Firstly noted for its low price, the Redmi 1S was truly an extremely demanded and popular phone, especially in India. Although the company discontinued this smartphone’s sale there, solely in the favor of its successors Redmi 2 & Redmi Note, it has to be the leader on our list. With equally powerful processing prowess as Samsung’s and Sony’s devices, what took it out of the competition was the ultra-low price. $140 to be exact, which could be the main reason this phone is on top of the 10 Best Selling Smartphones in India.
As you can see, the smartphone market in India is totally different than in the rest of the world. What are your thoughts about it?
