I was in a gifted and talented program when I was in elementary school, and I remember learning a lot of interesting information. We used to create activities with K’NEX to learn about principles of physics and math. We also did team building exercises. I didn’t start this program until second grade because my mom basically had to fight the school to have them test me so I would be accepted. It sounds ridiculous, but she knew I hated being bored in class. In college, however, that changed, but I digress.
