2. Sighişoara

Dating from the 12th century, Sighişoara is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved medieval towns in all of Europe and the UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvelous buildings, high baroque towers, cobblestone streets, magnificently designed religious monuments and churches can’t make you aloof. This is the home of the famous Vlad Ţepeş (The Impaler), who inspired Bram Stoker’s worldwide famous creation, Count Dracula.
