8. Jarabacoa
Lay within the Cordillera Central, the Jarabacoa is a place of interest for ecotourism enthusiasts. The Jarabacoa is also the home of amazing landscapes of pine forests, waterfalls, rivers and one of the highest peaks in the Caribbean region. The infamous Rio Yaque del Norte, Dominican Republic’s only white-water river is also located here. With good climate and recommended opportunities to bike, hike, and safe rock climbing are considered safe and worth the experience, it’ll be a fun experience going along with nature’s best.
