Cody is the county seat of Park County and has close to 10,000 inhabitants. According to the 2010 census, more than 18% of them are older than 65. Housing, healthcare and grocery index averages of 111.5, 102 and 102.3 respectively, are all below par in terms of competitiveness. Cody, however, has 4.51 physicians per 1,000 citizens which is the second largest such figure on the list. The violent crime rate is 4% lower than the national average,  according to Sperling’s, while property crime rate is 2.5% higher. AreaVibes state that the overall crime rate in Cody is 31% lower than the national average.
