Joao Pessoa isn’t a well-known city across the border of Brazil, but it really should be. The city is labeled as the second “greenest” in the world thanks to its 2.7 sq. miles of forested land. Although the foreigners still didn’t recognize Joao Pessoa as an attractive retirement destination, the natives did. The city is now one of the top retirement picks for Brazilians, especially those coming from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
